    It happens when a stranger breaks into your house to steal your underwear, or your roommate’s ex comes knocking on the door at odd hours and shoves in as soon as you unlock it, or when a group of guys start chasing you while you’re running at night, or try to run you off the road when you’re on your bike, or a drunk dude randomly shoves you into the road when you’re walking home from work at three in the morning.

    My experiences are not abnormal.

    I do, however, go solo camping. Nothing makes me feel safer than being alone.
