In the United States, we have the Order of the Engineer, and we get a stainless steel ring. It traditionally goes on the pinky of whichever hand you use to write with, with the idea of it rubbing against the desk when you’re writing. It is supposed to be a reminder to only work on things you’re qualified to be working on.
