I bought an EV two years ago. Second hand obviously because I’m not rich. It was eight years old. Within two months it stopped working, the battery was fried. There wasn’t a mechanic in a 20-mile radius who would agree to work on it. Even the manufacturer garage just quoted a battery replacement which was more than the price of the vehicle. I was left with no car and the biggest debt I’ve ever had.
I’ve got an ICE car now, because when it breaks, it can be fixed.
