Our yard is currently a boggy mess, and that means it’s become home to dozens of Ibis who are doing their best to empty it of worms, grubs, and other associated lawn snacks.

I heard them all take off and busted my phone out to grab a quick snap as they flew over. I thought it looked neat.

A truly magnificent post title that could only be made by an Aussie, and only be understood and appreciated by Aussies.

It’s not too bad seeing them in a more natural environment. And hey at least your lawn is getting aerated. Don’t the hounds chase them or were they locked up ?

The Ibis dont care about the dogs… when they get chased they fly up, do a lazy loop, and then land on the other side of the yard.

Repeat 2 or 3 times and the dogs are buggered and the Ibis just go back to nomming away on lawn snacks.

Although right now the dogs are locked in the granny flat yard because running around that marshland is making for some grubby puppies (who then come in and sit on the lounge / our laps…). Its the Ibis yard now.
