LOL. ‘The war is real,’ they say. It’s like at least over 4 years, if not 12. And nobody even targeting their civilians and children hospitals.

Yeah, even this very video shows the smoke is in the industrial area.

I suggest you to try read the room next time out there. If you’d check, ukraine@lemmy.ml has a very specific narrative. Basically, you went to nazi bar and said that nazists must die. What do you expect them to do after your statement?

I knew they would likely ban me, I just wanted to tell them that if they support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine then they are pro-fascism and pro-imperialism, despite what they might think.

Interesting. I just think it’s weird that a supposedly leftist instance seems to support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine… the Russian state seems pretty far from leftist to me.

This video goes into why. He argues that the term “tankie” is better replaced with “campist”. He explains their worldview and its flaws pretty well.

            Interesting, he mentions:

“the enemy of my enemy is my friend” kind of politics

And yeah that’s what tankies (or however they may be referred to) seem to get into. Which is ridiculous to me, because your enemy’s enemy is not necessarily a good person. But hey ho.

Even if it does, when you are talking national-level issues like this, the insurance company runs out of money and they either need a bailout or gargantuan price hikes.

Bit careless of Putin to leave a refinery lying around right near where he was holding his economic summit. You know how those things are these days…

It’s unbelievable really. Putin and hun entourage are living in their own little fantasy world, completely detached from reality.

Could be worse, it could be suburban America where you need a car to drive 30mins to the closest place you can buy fresh food.

Grocery stores are quite a bit more common than that. Vast majority of surburban communities are within 10 min of several grocery stores. Even in the boonies, one is normally closer than 30 min from a grocery store. Hell, in the boonies, you can often get fresher food as many farmers sell direct.

It depends on where you are if course.

I was exagurating a bit, but in many areas acess to fresh food is linked to having a car.

Also, some supermarkets do not have good fresh food offerings, so this is a best case scenario.

Would be a perfect country for the USA to annex, make the 51st state. They have oil, a comically corrupt and hated government, and a lack of democracy. If adults ever take the wheel for the USA bringing Russia into the fold and allowing sections to vote to join or become their own country would be perfect.

This also puts an end to Russias meddling in other countries affairs.
