Max Tennyson has many regrets in his life, but his biggest is his relationship with his children. Sure, he was on speaking terms with his sons, but his daughters? Petunia won’t answer his calls or letters, and Lily… he should have been there for her, but he was too focused on his war to help with hers’.
Max has tried to make up for his mistakes by bonding with his grandchildren, and while he is close with Kenny, Ben and Gwen, he hasn’t been able to see Petunia and Lily’s boys since they were born. That’s now going to change hopefully, as Petunia finally called him after all these years. The call was brief, but she got her point across. She wasn’t calling because she was sentimental, she was going with her husband on his extended business trip and needs someone to watch the boys that was “as far away from ‘the freaks’ as possible.” She agreed to send the boys to meet him in America. Now he will have most of his grandchildren with him this summer for his cross country trip, and he will make sure it’s a summer they’ll never forget.
