I’m a bus driver and I try to encourage anything the kids show passion in. Dunno if it’s the same level as teachers, but I sure am trying
I had a teacher who liked my writing, always left an encouraging comment and said I made her laugh. Then I came to high school and my new teacher graded me lower because she thought my writing wasn’t good. She made another classmate read his work that she liked. It wasn’t good or anything special. It still made me lose all motivation for writing. Sucks when you’re the type of person who relies heavily on external validation.
That sucks. Have you found ways to help override that need for external validation?
So I can blame it all on that one teacher who said I’d never amount to anything. Rad.
That teacher:

Intonation makes a difference… First time round it read the quote in a condescending tone. As in, stop doing this now, you can do it when you grow up. I thought he became a writer to spite her. Reread, and oh… She thought he was great.
Edit: not sure why I assumed female teacher, but here we are.
