Thanks to some very quick help, I succeeded in filing the notice of appeal on time. It was something of a miracle that I managed to pull it off. The money I generously received was just enough to take care of everything. Thank you very much, you all know who. Now that that part is taken care of I can focus on getting a new solicitor.

I have no idea how much it will cost (or how much I will need up front) but the research I’ve done so far says that family law cases in Ireland can run up to €25,000. When I get a more accurate figure, I’ll update the post. For now, that’s the goal. Same for when I find out how much I need up front.
