House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Sunday said Democrats will not focus on impeaching President Trump if they regain a majority in the lower chamber after midterm elections.

“I’ve made clear from the very beginning that our top priority is going to be to drive down the high cost of living,” the House minority leader added.

The House minority leader has lauded Democrats’ push for redistricting nationwide in an effort to pick up additional House seats and signaled that the party will advocate more for working-class Americans, after Democrats saw losses from the key demographic in the 2024 election.

      Oh, not quite.

We chose unlimited, unreserved pro-zionist support for Israel over limited, reserved pro-zionist support for Israel.

I’m aware that most of us wanted neither of those.

Thats a losing policy? Thats been the general policy for 5 decades.

And the world became a better place, so centrists’ only policy is no longer popular. Abandon it.

Cool. Tell me how that is working out. Ignoring reality will not get you out sess pit without long term planning and hard work. Knee jerk reactions will only send you deeper.

Doubt it. It most likely simple old fashion racism and misogyny. 2020 biden was the same 2024 biden. And kamala was carrying the same policies. Or do you really think 4 years was enough for people to forget about the mango which was obviously carrying far worse policies?

Biden only won in 2020 because he was the anti-Trump candidate and Trump fucked up the handling of COVID, it wasn’t because Biden was particularly popular or because anyone liked his policies.

In fact, I can’t think of a single good policy he pushed for or enacted, and I can think of a bunch of things he did wrong.

But, yeah, you can believe whatever you like. We’ll see how the next election goes, but I’m sure neoliberals will continue to come up with some sort of explanation to continue believing in neoliberalism even as it becomes more and more apparently a failed, dead ideology.

I’m pretty happy about the trains. Also fixing infrastructure. The green energy credits and green manufacturing were also pretty great. I liked USAID as it was. I’m also a pretty big fan of the first, fourth, fifth, and fourteenth amendments. I also really appreciated our ability to vote.

There were several things that was a positive from biden administration. I mean… its pretty easy to find them. Just look for trump’s EO’s that reversed them all…

We can bitch and moan about bad president candidates, but the fact is simply we have two choices. If you want more you need to vote for representatives to pass legislation to allow more parties to have a chance. Until then you have to deal with the options your have. Or sit on your ass and cry while the facists strip the remaining rights you got.

I can remember plenty of successes from Obama’s admin. For Biden, can remember only failures.

I am advocating for a shift towards socialism within the Democratic party, away from the right and centrists. That’s what my all of my comments on this thread are advocating for.

This is nonsense, as shown by the Dems own post mortem.

But let’s pretend it’s true. Why then would you have run Kamala?

What an absolutely revolting way to talk about real people, especially when we’re talking about a hundred thousand innocent people being killed intentionally as part of a genocidal endeavor.

This isn’t a fair fight we’re talking about, it’s a series of massacres that have been going on since 1948, conducted by a nuclear state which is backed by the world’s foremost superpower, supplied with the latest weapons to ethnically cleanse and eradicate an entire indigenous population who are forced to live in an open-air prison by a settler-colonial state, and their justification is that they want the land that those people are living on because it was promised to them by God according to the Bible.

Entire cities have been completely flattened, ambulances and humanitarian supplies destroyed, children targeted by snipers, civilians intentionally targeted by missile strikes, then when help arrives, another missile strike.

You have never seen a movie or the horrors of anything the likes of this since the Holocaust. And if you live in the US, your tax money goes towards enabling all of it, your government is providing them with all of the guns, bombs and tanks they need.
