House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Sunday said Democrats will not focus on impeaching President Trump if they regain a majority in the lower chamber after midterm elections.

“I’ve made clear from the very beginning that our top priority is going to be to drive down the high cost of living,” the House minority leader added.

The House minority leader has lauded Democrats’ push for redistricting nationwide in an effort to pick up additional House seats and signaled that the party will advocate more for working-class Americans, after Democrats saw losses from the key demographic in the 2024 election.

Give me someone better to vote for who has a chance of winning and I’ll vote for them.

Until then I’m going to vote for the people with a chance to fix this country.

Well, hopefully a socialist candidate can win the primary. If it’s fucking Harris or Newsom or some neoliberal right wing/centrist shitlib we will be completely, 100%, unbelievably, irredeemably fucked by 2036.

Hopefully a better candidate wins, despite the party’s inevitable fuckery in the primaries. Because if another genocidal corpodem “wins” the nomination, they will lose in the general.

That’s not me threatening to take my ball and go home. That’s not purity testing. That’s not whatever thought terminating cliche you centrists use whenever you don’t want to listen to someone to your left trying to interrupt you when you’re making a mistake.

That’s an honest assessment of the electorate you have to get votes from if you want to win.

You would rather lose, blame the left, and move to the right. Genocide wasn’t far enough to the right for you or any other centrist.
