I know touch starved is a term, but I wonder if sincerity starved has ever been used as a term lol. Like you spend too much time in environments that bury sincerity under riffing and irony. I guess when people fear rejection and they’re isolated, it feels less scary to joke than to be sincere and risk being rejected for it.

Anyway, in the spirit of sincerity, I appreciate all the people who make this place possible. The routine of the general thread alone is a nice little stabilizing force in a world full of uncertainty.
