As someone who makes less than 20k a year, why do you care so much about someone else’s opulence? Follow up, if you don’t like him, Why do you comment about Hasan in general? Does it really matter that much?
I feel the same way about some of my favorite musicians, rappers especially, but at the end of the day it doesn’t do shit for me to pay mind to Trent Reznors paychecks. I like the media that he provides for me, I listen to it for free and that’s that.
Same with Hasan. It’s just entertainment. Getting your panties in such a twist over rich YouTubers being libbed up isn’t entertaining to me so I chose to listen to the media I like. Same goes for any lefty podcaster, deprogram, brace Belsen, empanada. They arent revolutionaries, they’re podcasters. Entertainment, media, and I treat them as such.
Unlike Trent Reznor, Hassan lives as an opposition force to whatever the establishment represents. He actively spreads cynicism and voter apathy, because he is the equivalent of Alex Jones. He drives his influence from farming anger; in order to sustain that he cant redirect his efforts towards effective actions because that would undermine his revenue stream. Trent Reznor is a genius that makes art. Hassan is part of the movement that is walking people into detention centers.

Not just the DNC. Any movement that functions to garner political power and effect change. Hassan and his ilk exist purely as an oppositional force. It doesn’t matter who is in power at the time. If he was concerned with effecting change, you’d see more prescriptive dimension to his narrative. Supporting one off candidates here that pose no significant impact is uninteresting to the entire messaging apparatus he has enabled and gives him the mora license to continue his day job. This is part of a broader discourse that I need to write out in a better worded essay. I’m not doing a good job explaining what I mean here

No. I’m saying he’s a danger because he siphons collective action into the vacuum that is reactionary rage apathy. His occasional parading of support for a candidate is superfluous when you take into consideration the totality of his content. It’s just a mechanism to grant himself the moral license needed to continue making reactionary content.
Mamdani is a success story. We need more of that. We also need to evaluate why Mamdani has distanced himself from Hassan. I suspect he can also read the writing on the wall. Watch lefty reactionaries turn on Mamdani in the upcoming months. Again, it’s all about farming opposition.

He goes live for 8 hours a day, there’s no need to lie about “manufacturing rage”, everything he says is recorded.
