Here’s a better idea: eschew the battery altogether and power the trucks directly with, I don’t know, maybe an overhead power line of some kind. And then make them roll on a dedicated road so they can go faster by not sharing the road with automobiles. Maybe even tie them together to cut down wind resistance.
