        It’s setup for what comes next. Rudy has a choice to make and this episode was about what happened to Rudy when Man God just incidentally caused Rudy harm, not outright targeted him

          It was literally pointless. There was bo reason for it to be done this way. This all could have just been a short scene with Rudy reading the diary. It’s not like we weren’t already aware of what happens in the diary since they alreasy spend the entirety of the previous episode going over it.

          I repeat: this episode was pointless. All it does is force the audience to slog through a bunch of misery porn without advancing the plot

            You’d hate to read the LN then where Rudy reads the diary, it describes the contents of this episode essentially 1:1 and Rudy occasionally pauses between scenes. Maybe not knowing what comes next make this seem pointless but Rudy is very distraught during and after reading the diary and then ______ happens and turning point 4 really gets into swing
