He then acted as if they had always been talking about the US’ list instead. These two narratives are incompatible without an explanation, he either agreed to work on a deal based on Iran’s terms as a basis or he didn’t.
Whether he always planned to betray them again or whether he changed his mind because he looked weak considering Iran’s terms I don’t know.
