Scotland’s newest MP has lambasted her fellow parliamentarians for failing to condemn the UK government’s support for Israel. SNP MP Lara Bird said in the House of Commons on Tuesday that she welcomed last week’s news of a trade ban with illegal Israeli settlements – but added that she “cannot forgive” the UK government for taking so long to do the right thing.
