Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•AMD say the Steam Machine is "on track" for an early 2026 release
4·3 days agoI’m really dubitating between a steam machine or a framework desktop, which will he a bit more money but more powerful.
Oh I didn’t know that. I’ll have to read more into it.
I switched from Tony to Claro a while back, as Tony still uses cocoa sources which cause deforestation, which is terrible for the environment.
You fucking monster!!
And they have their own fair sourcing of cocoa with no slave/child labour

0·1 month agoI have had a Fairphine 6 running e/os for several months now, and I could not be happier. Fully de googled, but all apps I’ve needed run perfectly fine. Also I get around 40 hours of battery, so I charge the phone only every other day for about an hour.

1·1 month agoA big thing about the Fairphone is ensuring proper compensation to the entire production chain for the phone.
When it comes to electronics its essentially impossible not to have it go through China, and even if it does not go through China, there is no guarantee that workers are not being exploited. So making sure that there is no exploitation in the production processes is more important for me than avoiding China altogether.

I am leaning to the framework over self built because I like the power efficiency and want to support a company that I believe in. Also I refuse to give NVIDIA any money even if its indirectly by purchasing a used gpu.
