I hear ya! I’m the same way - PLUS I’m tall with long legs. Finding pants is so hard that I kind of just gave up and started wearing leggings as pants all the time, lol. (Which are still often too short…but I have more success overall)

My cat bites her nails, too. (I don’t, so she didn’t learn it from me.) She like pulls at them with her teeth. Then eeeevery once in a while I find a little outer-layer-of-a-claw sheath* on the floor with my foot. She’s my first cat and I had assumed it was normal…is it not? She’s estimated to be about 13 and has done it the whole time we’ve had her since we found her dumped outside around six months old. So I had just assumed it was a normal cat thing.
*I can probably find or take a picture tomorrow if anyone wants (and I remember,) just let me know.

I hope that this is good news. The biggest strengths of the Internet are its decentralisation and egalitarianism, and the monopoly of Google search has been the total opposite of those. I am happy to see that other search engines are growing in popularity and I hope this trend will continue. Web search should be as it says on the tin, search providing links to websites, and replacing links with an AI generated summary with a high chance of malforming their content is just not the right way, dangerous for the openness and freedom of the web.

I think they’re talking about East Germany, though - aka the German Democratic Republic/GDR aka DDR in German. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, though.
Probably so that it shows up at the top of an alphabetized file list; for easy visibility. It reminded me of how some companies would name themselves to show up first in the phone book.
