it’s why capitalism is over. they do not care about making a profit at all. they only care about the stocks. there is only one outcome to this approach, and that’s dissolving the company slowly until it fails because your willing to saw your legs off for a small spike in quarterly earning. You eventually run out of legs to saw off.

I hope they sue whoever sold it to them. it’s not artificial intelligence, it’s a machine learning chat bot. they may as well be running their company with a magic eight ball.

People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•Our apologies, sir. Of course, sir.
12·3 days agotracks with my experiance, in a hardware store you get all these chuckleheads that come in and want “a good ol’ bang-a-long” and your like “sir… what is a bang-a-long?” and they throw a ten pound hissy fit and go “how in the gul durn heck of a cats pussy do you not know whahat a fucking bang-along-a-bang-bang is, I’ll kill you” and once they’re done being a stupid asshole to you they huff off and come back with a hammer and show you what their granddaddy told them is called a “bang-a-dang-a-ding-a-dong-dong” and they can’t grasp that the people who make and sell said hammer didn’t get that message from Pee-Paa. Then the next lead poisoning victim comes in and asks for an O-ring, and you have the GALL to ask them what they are using it for, and throw their ten pound hissy fit, because they haven’t been punched in the mouth enough as an adult I guess, and run off to find one, then come back and show you because you not being able to identify with only “and O-ring” to go off of which one of the 10,000 different size and material O-rings you carry they specifically meant means you have never heard of an O-ring. Then an unfrozen caveman comes in and ask for a telephone installation, which… you don’t mind helping him put minutes on his phone with a card, but he actually expects you to install phone lines from the city services to his home, you know, that thing the guy at the key cutting desk is KNOWN to do. traditionally.

3·3 days agoHe does one thing that Democrat candidates can’t seem to grasp. he messages very simple and repeatable claims about things he has done, often not even relevant to politics, and constantly brags while using them. what did Biden do? idiots don’t know, if he spent a lot more time using illiterate friendly words to repeatedly claim the things he’s done in his life, including his play time on Minecraft, he would be president still. Trump also has to constantly correct his handlers on this too, they try and get him following the past tropes of running for president and then they’re baffled when he edits the script to dog food for brains simple and just repeats himself constantly about what a great game of tennis he played once in the 70s, and he doesn’t even have a pet dog.

Yes. Like all multipliers the heat of the sun requires not only it’s self the thing that which is acting but also that which is to be acted upon. If you are a handsome wet rock, the distance you are to the sun effects how your heat is multiplied.

News@lemmy.world•The Supreme Court lets California use its new, Democratic-friendly congressional map
1·5 days agoWould he have? Because you forget the votes that don’t get cast don’t show up in the data either. Look up how many voting locations were shut down in republican held states, or how many voter roll ‘purges’ were done, or how polls are closed early, or how not same day voting was prevented or thrown out, how polling locations are only open during work hours, I’m not making shit up, they reduce the number of people least likely to vote republican by any means necessary and half of what is legal and being done now by Republicans was made illegal by the civil rights act for most of my lifetime. And that law died with a whimper under Obama of all presidents, the conservative supreme court justified that with ‘‘racism must be over now, so we can get rid of laws ment to combat racism’’

0·13 days agoThe GOP will never support clean cut voting laws, they have to manipulate the votes to win anything they haven’t had the numbers to win an election since Nixon. That’s the reason our voting laws are convoluted in the first place.

1·16 days agothe demands of the public and candidates of quality with people behind them is what creates change. Burnie changed the DNCs policy commitments, even if he couldn’t produce enough votes to be the candidate, he effected change, and that only happens when people are politically engaged and dousing people’s desire for change or anger about abuse doesn’t effect change.

129·19 days agoI’m Hispanic, I grew up in an immigrant neighborhood, this situation is a nightmare, and every president we’ve had has made it worse since Clinton, but pointing out the Democrats will gladly continue Trump’s immigration policy to appear “strong on immigration” to me is highly counterproductive. people are mad right now about immigration policy, people want change. telling them any Democrat that runs is going to be the same when we don’t know who that person is or what policy they have written down as a plan of action, it’s just telling people to be more hopeless, and not be mad or demand change. No voting Democrat won’t fix immigration, but voting republican will always make it magnitudes worse, and people finally seeing what policy is like and being strongly against it is the only way to get a political party to actually openly be pro immigration for once in my entire life.
