It’s Taylor’s thing. He did the same but slightly muted notion with Yellowstone until the last few seasons when he went all in on the notion.

I’ve found setting an unrealistic goal (retirement at 45) but realistic goals that lead up to the unrealistic one so that accomplishments are made. Humans get a dopamine hit when we “check a box” or complete a task. Lean into that a bit with things you do. Small things help towards the efforts of larger things.
Other than that, escapism through keeping myself busy too.
I’ve used AirVPN for over a year now. No complaints. Mullvad stopped port forwarding so had to swap. Recently moved email to proton so might move VPN over soon too.

We shutdown for a month last year. Another two weeks isn’t too much more.
To my understanding the people hurt the most were the poor on food aids last year. This time it’s more federal programs that will be hurt. I would think this shutdown won’t hurt the common person as much? But I’m an illiterate idiot, please teach me.
In no way am I validating or invalidating his point of “pointed at America” but in general here if anyone launches a nuke at anyone, EVERYONE in the flight path of assumes it’s coming at them. It’s how are extremely shitty, scary system “works”.

I didn’t realize HDDs are taking a hit now… I’m moving overseas and opted to move my sever with me instead of rebuilding since ram alone is close to 1k now. I didn’t price HDDs at the time cause they are only 4 years old… Sure hope they hold on for another few years…
