It’s not a writing style exactly. Piefed has its own peculiarities when it comes to comments and i simply worked around them.
One ‘-’ seems to add a bullet point. So I added a second one hoping to bypass that automation. The bullet points were added anyway…
And I only used them because I wasn’t satisfied with the regular spacing to separate different subjects visibly enough. But it’s not a style i adhere to.
As for the movies, I used a topic on GOG’s forums for recommendations. It’s called “Cool B-rated forgotten sci-fi flicks”.
Can’t say i have real preferences in this. For me, almost all sci-fi movies are enjoyable and i don’t have favourites.
