i have zero interest in the house and little in the garden , first time ever

it’s just not important , it’s not depression, it’s change

but, one foot in front of the other

after a sleep I may be better

It’s ok. Sometimes a rough patch lasts a week, sometimes it’s 10 years. I’ve also got complicated family issues, some shitty people, so I understand how draining and emotionally damaging it can be. It’s so hard. But you are strong and doing all the right things.

YL is dog sitting. Opens the microwave to find mouldy food. Shuts the microwave. She’s not hungry anymore. Now she knows how hard I work.

I just realised I’ve managed to smear chocolate down the front of my top. I guess I’m just sitting here all chocolatey for the last 8 hours of my shift and hoping I can manage to hide it behind my name badge.

Went to the movies with a mate to see devil wears prada 2 to use up a voucher they had. It was surprisingly fun movie and we caught the train home from one of the new stations. They are pretty cool.

Making inroads into the Dreaded Sewing Fabric Stash Audit. Have discovered some elastane angelskin lame in scarlet and in silver that I had forgotten I had. And two lengths of not-quite-a-tartan in wool. Time for some lined shalwar pants in not quite a tartan I think. And to finish the warm winter waistcoats in blue/green floral and red/pink floral that I cut out ages ago but didn’t actually make up. Any suggestions for the angelskin?

Rainy and cloudy, nothing on today. I had the urge to do some baking. I made scones. So good while warm with jam and cream.

Had some “friends” make disparaging comments about me being in a relationship, disguised as “them looking out for me”, even after I told them to stop. I know not to take it personally, but I am disgusted. I have barely told them anything about my relationship, so telling someone that they’ll “see” how delusional they are in a few months, that they have a shit track record in dating, and generalising about men is uncalled for.

There’s a difference between looking out for your friends when they’re in a shitty situation and this toxic crap

This is common behaviour amongst some people.

They are jealous you are happy, and the only way to make themselves feel better about being worthless, is making you feel bad.

Once you know the game, you can see it coming a mile away.

Don’t let a bunch of losers make you feel bad or question your choices.

They want you to fail so you can stop exposing them to the reality that no one wants to date them.

And it sounds like there’s some pretty damn good reasons.

Here’s a picture of Gibson to help cheer you up

Have they even met him? Even if it happens that a friend doesn’t click with a partner, it shouldn’t matter. This happens in lots of friendship groups and couples. You are happy that your friend is happy. It’s their partner not yours.

Clothes are getting too baggy or are still too small.

Another ten kilos off and I will fit into the clothes I still have from when I lived in Europe

Watched The Matador tonight, it has been on my list for a while. I feel the focus could have been tighten a bit, but if any of the streaming services want to listen to a pitch I bet I could turn it into a series
